Global Warming: A Fall Guy

Global warming will be the scapegoat for all failed government programs, and it will allow government bureaucrats to shift the blame onto us. They will accuse us of causing the phenomena by simply living, and like a wrath from God we will be told that we must atone for our behavior by suffering while the government gets all the credit for predicting this catastrophe which they created with all of their destructive programs. Their predictive powers will amaze the ignorant and the naive. It's not so amazing once you figure out that they were the catalyst for the catastrophe in the first place.

Here's how I think the scenario might play out. Due to the government's illegal use of paper money, they will be able to pay or regulate farmers not to produce. Because farmers are not producing, supply will be restricted, which in turn means less food and government induced inflationary pressures forcing up the prices of everything from products to wages. Thanks to this government interference in our agriculture, it will then become too expensive for the average farmer to grow food. They simply will not be able to compete with their more free counterparts overseas, and it will become cheaper for America to to import food than to grow it. Our farmers, who for all practical purposes would be out of work will be receiving welfare checks in the form of subsidies, which will contribute to further declines in the value of the dollar. So, thanks to government programs that pay farmers for not producing, we will no longer be able to grow enough food to feed ourselves, and we will then become dependent upon imports. Government induced inflation, which destroys the value and integrity of our money, will ultimately lead to a complete currency collapse. The overseas farmers will stop sending us food because no one will take our worthless money. Since most of our food would be produced offshore, we will go hungry in a land once called the bread basket of the world.

Government will claim it is our fault and say that we must atone for simply living the lifestyle they hoisted upon us through the use of inflationary and destructive paper money and encouraging people not to produce. So, when the dollar collapses and we can no longer import the food needed, the government will roll out global warming as the cause or fall guy for there not being sufficient amounts of food. Since the government wants to shift the blame to us for their induced catastrophe, they will blame us, thus absolving themselves of all wrong doing in their eyes. We will be blamed for our dire circumstances. While we are starving, we will be told it is our penance and that we should have listened to our Uncle Sam and heeded his warning because he really does know what is best for us. Therefore, we should unquestioningly follow our "Big Brother" because he really does know all - just like God. Of course, that's fine with them, because government's view really is that we should all worship the state as if it were God.

Remember, this is just one possible outcome of government intervention in our lives. I hope it does not come to pass, but an agricultural system built upon the fallacy of not producing does not bode well for feeding a society. We will suffer but not because of the way we live, but by the ignorance and incompetence of government action and intrusion into our lives. Global warming, man-made or not, will be used by government for its benefit and to our detriment. And that you can take to the bank!
