Why Vote for Ron Paul for President?

This poem by Howard Arnold Walter explains why I will vote for Ron Paul in 2008 for president:

"I would be true for there are those who trust me.
I would be pure for there are those who care.
I would be strong for there is much to suffer.
And I would be brave for there is much to dare."

Let me explain how it applies to congressman Ron Paul.

He is true to the oath he took to uphold and defend the Constitution - the real and highest law of the land. In Washington, D.C., he is known as "Dr. No" because, as his voting record indicates, he always votes "No" on bills that are even the least bit contrary to the Constitution. He does this because of the trust placed in him by those who put him in office to do just that.

He is pure in his actions. He tells it like it is and doesn't adulterate his message or his character by telling you or some group what you or they want to hear just to get votes. His message is consistent and has been for over 30 years. He's not a chameleon duping you into voting for him. He understands that we care about truth and honesty, and that is why his message is unaltered and pure like the man himself.

He is strong. He has been tempted many times to sell his integrity and yet stands fast against such attempts. The proof is in his actions. He has been ridiculed by his colleagues, the Republican Party and the media - yet he perseveres. The next phrase may be last in the poem, but I believe it is the most telling of Ron Paul...

He is brave. His carrying on despite being told that he cannot win, the media totally ignoring him, and his own Republican Party actively campaigning against him all show bravery. And what would happen if he were to become too successful? He dares to challenge the powers of tyranny and slavery with liberty and freedom. By his bravery and daring, he is challenging you and me to be brave and daring by voting for him in order to support liberty and freedom and oppose those who would tyrannize and enslave us. A quote from Billy Graham sums it all up: "Courage is contagious. When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are stiffened." This is what we need, and what Ron Paul will do.

The most important question that we face in the upcoming election of 2008 is "will I succumb to tyranny and support the status quo of an ever growing government, which at every turn wants to tell me how to live, takes my property and violates and ignores the supreme law of the land, the Constitution, or am I brave enough to dare to stand up for honesty, integrity, truth, liberty and freedom and vote for Ron Paul?" Liberty has but one politician who champions it, Ron Paul, while tyranny has everyone else. America loves the underdog, especially a righteous one. We now have our champion. The brave Ron Paul has stood up, so let's stiffen our spines and support him. If one gets weak, remember these quotes to strengthen your resolve:

"He who is brave is Free." - Lucius Annaeus

"Fortune favors the Brave." - Virgil

"We become just by performing just actions, temperate by performing temperate actions, and brave by performing brave actions." - Aristotle

In 2008 we must support freedom - through Ron Paul - or we will have none left to defend!
